I had a wonderful day today.
Yesterday I hadn't been on the treadmill for five minutes when a mouse ran out from underneath of it. I freaked out and about had a nervous breakdown. I'm getting jumpy from always seeing these stupid mice run around. Hiren and I talked for a while about it, and after he calmed me down we decided that he would declare war on the bastards.
So, today I went off to the Container Store to buy a new mouse-proof trash can and various containers for storing food while Hiren and his mom cleaned out under the sink (where the mice are fond of pooping) and stuffed steel wool in any holes they could find. I feel much better. If we cut off their food supply, they're not going to WANT to be here. Right?
Interjection: I am quite proud to say that I did in fact do my treadmill this morning. In full. Yay me!!! No mice. :o)
After the Container Store, I headed over to the Gift of Light Expo. That was extremely cool. I did Reiki and had a psychic reading. Both of the people I saw told me I need to work on meeting my own needs, and that my failure to do so is the result of ignoring those needs. I'm doing better with that, and it helped to have that reinforced. It seems I've been getting that from everyone I've come in contact with--friends, counselors, relatives, etc. I guess the Universe is desperate to get this message through to me.
I'm feeling very good about my weight loss program. We went out for Turkish food this evening, and I haven't yet tried to guesstimate my points, but I know I ate within my weekly points allowance. I was tempted to weigh myself today but resisted. I wanted that tangible reinforcement that I am losing weight. That's crap, though. I feel good and I know I'm doing the right thing. What the scale says is completely irrelevant.

Spring is the best healing time. After more than eight hours working in the garden yesterday, I am feeling invigorated by nature's beauty and strength.
